On August 6, WHSU students Zhou Yuxiu and Zhang Peixin teamed up to compete in the final of the women’s pair rowing event. Despite an unfavorable start, they exhibited composure and determination throughout the race. As the competition unfolded, they gradually heightened the frequency of their strokes, progressively intensifying their pace. With exceptional skills, they managed to surpass teams from the Netherlands and Germany, ultimately securing the gold medal with a remarkable time of 7 minutes and 31.86 seconds.
