The 14th Hubei Provincial "Challenge Cup" College Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition recently rang down the curtain at Wuhan Textile University. In this provincial competition, we won 1 special prize, 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 5 third prizes, demonstrating a record high in terms of the number of prizes and the total score of the group, which was a dual breakthrough in the quality and quantity of prizes we have won so far.

Since its launch in September 2022, the "Challenge Cup" Competition has been attached great importance by the leadership of WHSU, and greatly supported by relevant functional departments. After in-depth mobilization and extensive publicity at all the schools, and through various processes such as event promotion, key cultivation, selection by holding school competitions, and selection and defense for the provincial competition, a total of 14 works were selected and recommended for the provincial competition. During the preparation, the Youth League Committee of WHSU soundly organized for the competition, and listed the "Challenge Cup" as an annual key special task, to provide all-round supports for the participating projects with a special team.

In the next stage, the Youth League Committee of WHSU will continue to give full play to its advantages in event organization, attach importance to atmosphere cultivation, build a platform for academic competitions, and continuously improve the selection and training system for the Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition, so as to promote the high-quality development of the university's undertaking of cultivating students through scientific innovation and education, and to contribute to the construction of a “Double First-Class” university.
