Chinese weightlifter Wang Zhouyu pocketed a gold medal in the women's 87kg weightlifting event at the Tokyo Olympic Games on Aug 2nd.

The Chinese weightlifting team has now won six gold medals across seven categories in Tokyo.

Wang hoisted 115kg in her second snatch attempt before raising the bar to 120kg, setting up a 4kg advantage over her closest rival.

Wang, world champion in this division in 2019, succeeded on 150kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 270kg.
